Ziya Yabao 芽苞 - Purple variety White Tea Buds

The fruity aroma of this rare white tea is made unique by the very young Ziya buds, literally "purple buds" spontaneously and randomly blooming with their purple and pink-ish colours. This natural variation of colours is due to a higher concentration of anthocyanins, a kind of flavonoids found in leaves and food with red, blue or purple colours.    In the taste of this Ziya Yabao we find the floral gentleness of a fresh white tea, with a clear liquor, enriched by the fruity sweetness of the purple buds, reminding of wild berries like raspberry and grapes.
