Wintersweet 腊梅 - Scented Red Tea

Calycanthus flower is also known as Wintersweet because its flowers bloom in winter, bringing colour and life on the naked branches of leafless trees. They generally bloom from November to March, as the temperatures drop, and they should be picked before the arrival of the first snow, making the production of this flower tea rare and challenging.  These tender wintersweet buds were picked in Henan province and mixed with a special blend of red tea in which Yunnan and Fujian leaves coexist. The resulting fragrance is rich and full of sweetness, with the clear perfume of calycanthus flower and the smoothness of marzipan and fresh pastry.
