Con le sue anse dritte da 19mm, la lunetta liscia e la carrure molto simile al Bubbleback, ha una forte personalità e un carattere stilistico inconfondibile. Produced for two years only (1949-1950) and exclusively in 18K gold, the Rolex Datejust “Ovettone” (big egg) ref. 5030 represents a unicum in its own right. With its straight 19mm lugs, the very charming A295 movement, the smooth bezel and the carrure very similar to the Bubbleback, it has a strong personality and an unmistakable stylistic character.  An example in these conditions enhances our love for fine vintage watchmaking.
