Space Age Floor Ashtray in ABS Plastic and Stainless Steel, 1970s Floor ashtray with a distinctly futuristic feel, crafted from blue ABS plastic with a satin-finish stainless steel top cup. Made in Italy in the 1970s. The slender, tapered silhouette recalls the spatial language typical of radical design of the period, with an almost totemic shape lightened by the balance between glossy surfaces and soft volumes. The adjustable steel top, complete with a central element for extinguishing cigarettes, accentuates the object's technical and pop character. The color contrast between the bright blue of the frame and the satin-finish metal of the cup is particularly interesting, lending an authentic 1970s aesthetic.
