Movado Gentleman Automatic 18k linen

Founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1881, Movado quickly became celebrated for its elegant design language and technical innovation. By the mid-20th century, the brand was producing refined timepieces that seamlessly combined artistry with mechanical excellence. This stately and rare 1960s Movado “Gentleman” 18ct Gold,ref.2230 Micro-Rotor Cal. 230 is a superb example of that golden era. Its curvaceous 34mm 18ct yellow gold case elegantly hugs the wrist, aided by straight lugs and a slim 5.5mm profile. A signed coin-edged push-pull crown adorns the side, while the slender bezel holds a domed plexiglass above a striking silver linen-textured dial. Applied gold baton and Roman numeral hour markers catch the light beautifully, complemented by gold stick hands. At 12 o’clock, the applied Movado logo and “Automatic” marking sit proudly above the word “Gentleman” at 6 o’clock.
