Omega Chronostop 145.009
Introduced in 1966, the Omega Chronostop was a bold innovation in the world of chronographs. Unlike traditional chronographs, the Chronostop was designed for quick, precise timing of short intervals—perfect for motorists, athletes, and professionals on the go. By pressing and holding the pusher, the central seconds hand could be stopped and read, then instantly reset with a release—streamlined timing at the push of a button. This function, while simple, reflected Omega’s ingenuity in creating a tool watch that was both accessible and versatile. The present example, an Omega Chronostop Ref. 145.009, serial 25.xxx.xxx, correctly dates the watch to 1967. It features the attractive grey dial, known for its subtle sportiness and excellent legibility, paired with luminous baton hands and orange chronograph seconds hand. Notably, this watch is offered with its original strap and Omega buckle, a rare and desirable detail that enhances its collectability. Powered by the robust Caliber 865 manua
