Mostly unpublished, these images form an ideal link between two phases of Guidi’s work that are already well known. After the irreverent black and white snapshots of the early 1970s, this series marks Guidi’s progressive shift toward the colour work he began to investigate in the early 1980s with a large format 8×10 camera.
