Wild feather - 130 ml Dai gaiwan

Handcrafted gaiwan by Master Yiwen, carrying the decoration of a peacock’s tail feather: a symbol of protection and beauty in Dai folklore. This elegant gaiwan is crafted with the local clay of Xishuangbanna, rich in minerals and iron that give the distinguishing red-copper colors emphasized by the firing. Fired in a traditional dragon kiln, each gaiwan developed a warm, bronze base tone enriched by Luòhuī Yòu (落灰釉), or natural wood ash glaze. As the flames danced, they left behind unpredictable blushes of red, bronze, and earthy hues, where the fire kissed the clay, it left its mark.
