Winter clouds - 150 ml Dai cup

This cup is a unique piece, totally handmade using natural red clay from Bùlǎng tea mountain 布朗山, Menghai county, mixed with sand from Mekong river to improve the molding performance. Bulang is one of the most famous mountains for Pu'er tea production, and it harbors the ancient trees forests of world-renowned tea areas like Manxinlong, Laoman'e, and Laobanzhang, the King of pu'er tea. After being shaped, the cup was baked twice in the kiln at a temperature of 1280-1300°C, giving it a smooth surface, and glazed with ashes from local soil and grass.  The final result is a smooth mixture of shades of grey and white, which pays tribute to the clouds of fog enveloping the mountains of Yunnan.
