Tastebox: Summer Study Tour, August 2026

This tastebox is an introduction to the range of fragrances you'll find in Yunnan during our Summer Study Tour in August 2026. Xishuangbanna prefecture will be our home and here we'll learn the culture of Chinese tea, studying Gongfucha and different brewing styles, the Chinese art of fragrances and incense, visiting pottery masters and tea producers. This Journey in a Box: Yueguangbai white tea, harvested from the wild tea trees on Nannuo mountain in Spring 2024.  Yunnan Wulong, a roasted wulong crafted in Tieguanyin style with the leaves of trees grown on volcanic soil of Baoshan area. Dianhong, the red tea of Yunnan province, crafted with leaves of Nannuo mountain harvest in Spring 2018.  Sheng Pu'er tea, the icon of Yunnan tea production, whose cultivation and technique is guarded and passed from generation to generation of local ethnic minorities.
