Aged Mudan Wang 牡丹王 - King of Baimudan

Mudan Wang white tea is the highest level of Baimudan, for its accurate craft and leaves quality. We selected a very special aged batch, harvested and sun-dried in Spring 2023, created using Fuding Dahao cultivar grown in the soft mountains of Zhenghe. This combination results in a charming and complex white tea, expressing characteristics from both places. Fuding is located close to the sea, while Zhenghe is a mountainous area. This special Mudanwang combines the freshness of the sea with the depth of the mountains. In its elegant mellow taste we find a balance between “sea character” and “mountain character.” As early as the Song Dynasty, tea from Zhenghe was already well known. At that time, the Zhenghe town was called Guanli 关隶, a name that can be translated as “a place associated with servitude.” According to legends, Emperor Song Huizong greatly appreciated the tea from this region and because of his admiration, he renamed the area Zhenghe 政和, meaning “harmonious governance,” ref
