Tian Di Fang Yuan 天地方圆 - Yixing teapot, Zini purple clay

High-grade Yixing clay teapot fully handcrafted with experience and passion by our trusty artist Lian Meiping. Each of her teapots has its own personality, which will improve over the years it will spend with you, brew after brew. The teapot is named 天地方圆 (Tiāndì fāngyuán) meaning "heaven and earth, circle and square". The shape of this teapot is the perfect encounter between the square firmness of its bottom, grounding it to the table, and the curved softness of its top part, that gives a feeling of lightness. This dual nature is often used to express the roundness of the sky and the squaredness of the earth, reflecting ancient Chinese cosmology, and the duality of yin and yang. The straight and short spout provides a precise spill. The round filter is composed of 11 holes, that ensure the purest tea liquor. The shape and clay of the teapot are particularly suitable for shu pu'er and dark teas. The teapot capacity is 140 ml (4.7 oz), and it comes with the artist's signed certificate.
