Incense Burner 四方传炉 - Yixing Teapot

High-grade Yixing clay teapot fully handcrafted with experience and passion by our trusty artist Yuan Weixin. Each of his teapots has its own personality, which will improve over the years it will spend with you, brew after brew. The four-sided Chuanlu 四方传炉 shape originates from the Taoist alchemical furnace, symbolizing the wish for longevity through tea drinking. Renowned for its square yet soft shape, it is extremely difficult to form, making it one of the most challenging shapes in Yixing ware. The shape incorporates Taoist Five Elements philosophy: the lid symbolizes the north (water, roundness); the foot symbolizes the south (fire, power); the spout symbolizes the east (wood, elegance); the handle symbolizes the west (metal, strength); and the body symbolizes the center (earth, inclusiveness), embodying the philosophical concept of "harmony."
