Rose Red Tea 玫瑰红茶 - Scented tea

A red tea where the natural sweetness of its tender leaves is enhanced by the sweet fragrance of rose petals. Notes of small red fruits, like raspberries and juicy cherries, and an elegant floral perfume grace the body of this red tea, adding a complex bouquet that envelops the sweetness of vanilla given by the leaves. This rose red tea is produced in Fuzhou: the home of flower tea, where the finest leaves of camelia sinensis are enriched and embellished with the perfume of the freshest flowers. Here the blooming season for roses goes from April to September, filling the air with the sweetest perfume and the landscape with colours. Flowers are picked before they blossom and open completely, to keep their scent untouched and let it release only later, when they are mixed with the tea leaves that will absorb and preserve it.
