Rougui 肉桂 - Zhengyan Yancha

No other yancha, rock tea, can match the warm complexity of Rougui. The persistent minerality, typical of Wuyishan terroir, is enriched by a soft roasted note and a creamy mouth feeling. The name Rougui literaly means "cinnamon", and brings to mind and senses the spicy notes of its liqueur, with sweet nuances of nuts and sandalwood. The Rougui variety was discovered relatively recently but has conquered fame quite fast thanks to its layered complexity and unique fragrance. Dried with a medium charcoal-roasting, this tea welcomes in a harmonious and balanced way all the sensorial aspects that make rock teas unique: roasted notes opening the senses to the floral and mineral notes described in the saying 岩骨花香 Yan Gu Hua Xiang, or " rock structure and floral fragrance".
