Lao Shoumei 2010 老寿眉 - Aged White Tea, loose leaf

This rare and unique white tea bears the meaning of longevity (寿 shòu in Chinese): its leaves were delicately harvested by hand in Spring 2010, and the warm sun rays of Fuding slowly dried them, sealing their sweet honey aftertaste.The infusion releases the lively taste of the aging process that still continues in the delicate leaves, whose curved shape recalls a dark eyebrow (眉 méi). This mellow taste of undergrowth, together with the natural sweetness of its processing as white tea, creates a unique combination of aromas that open in the palate, and a mesmerizing scent that fills the air at each infusion.
