Dajuan Art - 70 ml cup

This delicate cup is pure white in color, soft and comfortable to use. Its protruding edge gives a soft and mellow feeling when drinking a newly brewed tea, that almost feels like a gentle kiss.   This peculiar shape is inspired by the famous painting An Elegant Party (文会图 Wén huì tú), made by Emperor Song Huizong in 1100, Song Dynasty (960-1279). The painting represents a banquet between officials, and each guest has his own valet, who is in charge of preparing and serving tea. At that time, there was only green tea, which was powdered and mixed with water in order to obtain a uniform and dense liquor, sipped using pure ceramic bowls.
